I got this bar from the local Giant for about $1.50. Not too shabby. I've seen worse but I have seen better.
Taste:
Pros-
I had a Kashi© Crunchy Bar yesterday and was less than impressed, so I wasn't too sure what to expect. But the second I bit in to it, I was highly impressed. The bar is very dense and quite rich, satisfying those of us with a sweet tooth. It was quite candy-like (which I wasn't too surprised about with the sugar content in these bars). I would relate it more with a candy bar than a nutrition bar. I wouldn't normally spend that amount of points on a bar, but since I knew I was going for a 2mi run after breakfast, I decided it would be alright today, in order to provide me the energy and protein I needed for the run. I was pretty full after eating this. I like to have 2 seperate items for breakfast and space them out like an hour or so, so usually I'll have a bowl of cereal and an apple or some grapes, and I'll eat the cereal when I wake up and eat the fruit as I am walking to my morning class, so it had been a bit since I had my filling bagel and I found myself full satisfied and very energized for my run. The taste of this was extremely delicious.
Cons-
Pretty high carb/sugar/calorie count. I realize this is probably more intended as a protein bar before a workout, which is what I used it for but it isn't something I will throw 6pts away on frequently.
Conclusion-
Very tasty, but too high calorie/sugar count for me to eat it often.
